St. Sylvester's G.A.A. Club shall welcome the victorious Dublin Senior Ladies Football Team and the Brendan Martin Cup to Malahide on Sunday, 24th October 2010 for celebrations.Following their superb victory in the All Ireland Football Final on Sunday, 26th September 2010, St. Sylvester's stars Sinead Aherne and Niamh McEvoy, both from Malahide, shall lead the parade into Malahide and onto St. Sylvesters G.A.A. Club to celebrate their historic victory. They shall be joined by a number of their fellow Dublin Senior Ladies Football Team mates on the night.
The Jackies had a double victory in 2010 with the Junior Team also winning the All Ireland title. St. Sylvester's Sinead Treacy captained this team to victory and she will parade the Aisling McGing Trophy into the village. In true Malahide tradition, a piper will lead the parade into the village from Bridgefield at 6pm arriving at the clubhouse shortly after that.
So bring out your Dublin colours, come along and enjoy the occasion.
