Irish band Villagers have been included in the shortlist for this year's Mercury Prize for their debut album Becoming a Jackal.Villagers are from Malahide in Dublin, and are fronted by Conor J. O'Brien.
The award is given to the best album by a British or Irish act released in the last 12 months, with the winner announced on 7th September 2010.
